Ispra (VA) Italy – The Joint Research Council (JRC) have published a new report “Energy Service Companies in the EU: Status review and recommendations for further market development with a focus on Energy Performance Contracting”. Following their previous study, released in 2014 and covering the period 2010-13, this new research explores the developments in the energy services – and particularly the energy performance contracting – market within the EU between 2014-16. The report concludes that the ESCO market continues on a growth path with the most significant growth occurring in the Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain and the UK.
