On 19 and 20 February 2019, more than 500 professionals from across the EU representing all the different sectors involved in climate adaptation and energy efficiency finance, attended the Covenant of Mayors Investment Forum in Brussels. QualitEE was one of the 30 successful projects that were invited to host a session and share their concrete action in accelerating investments into sustainable energy and climate adaptation.

After giving a brief introduction to the project and to the key results of the QualitEE market research, Klemens Leutgöb, from e7, presented in an interactive workshop the recently published Financial Quality Criteria for Energy Efficiency Services, which generated great interest among participants.

One of the main barriers for the further implementation of Energy Efficiency Services projects in Europe is the difficulty for these projects to attract financing. The 5 Financial Quality Criteria developed by QualitEE aim to overcome this barrier by establishing a common understanding between service providers, clients and financial institutions for the assessment of the bankability of energy efficiency services projects.
